Multiple Mini Interviews
The Multiple Mini Interview is referred to as the MMI. AIMG
Program candidates who pass the AIMG Program OSCE are required
to attend the MMI.
The AIMG MMI includes 9 stations that assess professionalism
attributes such as team work, ethics, and conflict management.
Each candidate is evaluated by an examiner present in the
room. Each station is 9 minutes long. Candidates are given
2 minutes to read instructions and 7 minutes to respond.
The MMI:
- is offered in Calgary in October
- is a multi-sampling examination
- is intended to cover a range of professionalism competencies
necessary for medical practice
- includes an orientation to the process and an opportunity
to ask questions prior to the MMI
- is scored by a single examiner at each station
The AIMG Program does not assist candidates with MMI preparation.
Other agencies may provide these services. See Links.
Additional reading and study material is available online
by using ‘Multiple Mini Interview' as the search term.
Results from the MMI are included with the OSCE results
when they are sent to AIMG Program candidates in early January.
